The 2019 Historical Hill Climb in Saltburn, organised by Middlesbrough and District Motor Club, was held in September on a dry sunny day

This is a museum which is in one of the oldest cottages in Marske and it takes you through the history and heritage of Marske by the Sea. The Parish Council is one of the main sponsors of the museum.
Saltburn has won many awards in the Northumbria in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions. It is organised by the Saltburn in Bloom group in association with town businesses, organisations and local councils, and sponsored by the Parish Council. £3,000 was awarded this year by the Parish Council. In 2018 Saltburn was awarded Gold in the Northumbria in Bloom competition, was the overall winner in the Coastal Category, and received gold awards for the Railway Station and Huntcliff Court and won the Best Front Garden as well. The Zetland Terrace Allotments were awarded the Silver Gilt. We also have a Community Champion for her work on Laurel Road.
Marske has received £2,200 and New Marske £1500 towards their 'In Bloom' work this year. Northumbria in Bloom 2018 awarded Silver Gilts to Marske in Bloom, Friends of St Germans, St Germains Grange and Winkies Castle
The Parish Council sponsors band concerts at Saltburn bandstand during the summer months. Please see below details of bands playing in Saltburn in 2019.
